The Rack Group announce the introduction a selection of training options

As a company the rack group have pioneered a number of fields within the pallet racking industry from specialist repairs to racking protection. Both offering cost effective and time saving solutions to reduce warehouse maintenance costs.

Having over 30 years experience within the storage industry The Rack Group have introduced a new dimension to the trade by offering a number of options in regards to training. Having worked closely for a number of years with numerous working bodies, The Rack Group are proud to announce the introduction a selection of training options from; basic awareness in warehouse safety to the introduction of a specialist NVQ in the installation, maintenance and inspection of industrial storage equipment.
Our courses range in time from just a few hours with the basic awareness in warehouse safety to a 2 day course which shows a level of competence and delivers the knowledge required to perform internal pallet racking safety inspections.
With the introduction of our NVQ candidates are assessed on practical assignments and a portfolio of evidence. A qualified assessor will observe him/her and question them about the real work they carry out in the workplace (or a realistic working environment). They will test their knowledge and understanding as well as their actual performance, as the NVQ is designed in partnership with industry bodies, sector skills councils and professionals, this ensures they reflect the latest trends in the industry and make sure they provide the workforce with the skills they really need.
Until now there have been no accredited qualifications for the industrial storage equipment industry meaning the possibility of unregulated and unqualified installers. At The Rack Group we have established a highly qualified workforce. We now want to introduce the NVQ qualification throughout the industry.
Our desire is to push the industry forward through new innovative ideas, demolishing the stereotypes around it being the industry that time forgot, and bring it into the 21st century.
