PwC appoints Barry Misthal as new global head of industrial manufacturing

PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) has appointed Barry Misthal as global head of its Industrial Manufacturing industry group.

Misthal said he was looking forward to helping manufacturers capitalise on worldwide business opportunities.

He said: "With the right understanding of the various risks involved in doing business cross border, industrial manufacturers can find robust opportunities to drive revenues in today's global marketplace. I am looking forward to helping our clients address these risks and opportunities presented, by bringing together innovation and experience from across PwC's global network."

Misthal, who is based at PwC's Philadelphia office, will take up the post with immediate effect. He brings over 25 years experience of the manufacturing sector, PwC said. Misthal is also a partner in the firm's Assurance practice where he works with public and private company chiefs on strategic, financial and operational transactions in the manufacturing and consumer products sectors, the company added.

Misthal commented: "It is an exciting time to be at the helm of global industrial manufacturing for PwC. Global industrial manufacturers are showing confidence in the strength of their businesses even against a backdrop of building uncertainty for the US and other world economies."
