Majorfax wins contract with SKF France

Majorfax Ltd has won an order from SKF France for over 3,500 rail parts which will be exported to China.

The tendering process for sensor parts in the braking systems of Chinese trains started earlier this year. Leigh Dale, production manager at Majorfax said: "Our expertise and experience led to us winning the contract. The specific knowledge we have of these complex parts placed us in a much stronger position than any other competitors."

Majorfax previously had a long relationship with SKF in the UK but the contract for its sister company, SKF France, is a first.

Following an increase in the demand for high quality engineering castings, Majorfax is now looking at expanding its workforce by around 10 per cent.
