Findlay Media launches Manufacturing Business IT Event 2012
Works Management's two-day conference on manufacturing business IT opens its doors on 20 June, with a goal of helping senior manufacturing businesses' execs to understand the power of IT, when properly specified and implemented as part of a business and/or continuous improvement initiative.
Delegates will learn about everything from ERP systems to business intelligence (BI), CRM and supply chain systems. But the event wil also focus on factory systems – all the way from advanced planning and scheduling (APS) software to shopfloor data collection, manufacturing execution systems (MES) and performance improvement systems.
Headline speakers include: Simon Noakes, operations director with Hozelock; Mark Goodwin, IT director at Coba International; and Sarah Cobb, business systems director at Filtrona Group.
Organiser Findlay Media describes the presenters as "inspirational speakers who have walked the walk". Richard Henley, event director, also explains that, as part of the event, delegates will be bussed to world-class local factories to see manufacturing business IT in action.
They will also be invited to attend one of four learning sessions, with 'deep dives' into implementing systems appropriate to various mixes of manufacturing/business styles and current challenges.
Being staged in the West Midlands on Wednesday 20 and Thursday 21 June 2012, the event is aimed at team leaders and project teams running, or about to run, ERP, supply chain and production system implementations, migrations and upgrades.
