High tech digital label printer

Barcoding.co.uk has announced a high-tech, high-specification digital label printer that is specifically designed to optimise stocking, picking and shipping operations.

The VP2020 printer adds the facility of vibrant colour and picture coding to all barcoded labels, which has been shown to reduce human error in manual operations.

It is a benchtop, heavy-duty, industrial full-colour printer manufactured by the American print solutions company VIPColor Technologies. The printer allows users to print variable colour labels and tags measuring from one to six inches at up to 600 X 600dpi on all kinds of label stock. It offers the ability to print single labels right up to 2,900 full-colour 3 X 2in labels per hour.

The user-friendly printer has a heavy-duty steel frame and chassis for shop floor and warehouse environments and is designed to integrate easily within any industrial environment. The VP2020 is equipped with a Windows driver, so that users can print labels using popular design packages such as Corel, Photoshop, Illustrator, or any other Windows-compatible software

“The VP2020 is a very useful digital colour label printer. It allows you to print barcodes with other graphics in full colour, making it easier for staff to identify products simply by looking at the label. This colour referencing is known to reduce picking and shipping errors and so streamlines manual operations. Whether you just need one label or thousands at a time, the VP2020 makes it easy to cope with rapidly changing demands,” says Derek Stainton, managing director of Barcoding.co.uk.
