Oliver Wight makes new associate appointment 15/06/2009

Business improvement specialist Oliver Wight has appointed Andy Walker (pictured), a supply chain director with paper, packaging and building products manufacturer, Georgia Pacific, to boost its finance skills.

Walker has worked across a range of business disciplines, including corporate finance, financial management, demand management; business excellence and supply chain management, and believes this will be invaluable in his new role.

"As an Oliver Wight Associate, I hope to use the experience I've gained over the past ten years, to enable clients to realise the maximum potential for their businesses and achieve long-term, sustainable performance excellence," he says.

As EMEA Supply Chain Director for Georgia Pacific's 'Away From Home' business, Walker managed the end-to-end supply chain from the company's offices in Brussels and was responsible for implementing the supply chain elements of an region-wide sales and operations planning project, helping deliver significant cost reductions for the business.

Oliver Wight CEO, Les Brookes, said that in addition to Walker's experience of S&OP and supply chain management, his knowledge and skills in finance would be a considerable asset to Oliver Wight clients.
