RS Components celebrates as 100 new jobs are created 30/04/2009

RS Components, the catalogue-based distributor of electronic, electrical, electromechanical and industrial components today (30 April) announced the creation of 100 jobs at its Nuneaton warehouse facility.

The modernised warehouse acts as the European centre for RS’ distribution network and is key to its operations across the continent.

The new jobs cover a range of positions, from technical to operational staff, required to fill both junior and senior roles across the facility. “The hunt to fill the 100 positions will start next month and it is hoped they will be taken by members of the local community,” said the company’s UK resourcing manager Jon Hull.

RS Components, which has 2000 people nationwide, said it recognised that being able to deliver a good service to its customers was largely dependant on the staff it employs. By investing in its employees, RS hopes to benefit by becoming the number one distributor for electronics engineers.

The Nuneaton, Warwickshire, warehouse works with the objective of ensuring that all orders can be received, processed, picked, packed and dispatched in less than two hours.
