Pressure not deflated by August shutdown 06/10/2008

Pressure Technologies plc, the designer, manufacturer and retester of speciality high pressure, seamless steel gas cylinders for the global energy and defence markets, has announced stronger than expected trading.

The company said a change in the year to fixed summer holidays with a two week factory shutdown in August did not have a detrimental impact on output and had allowed a number of short term opportunities to be exploited.

The Sheffield-based AIM-listed plc, which is the holding company for Chesterfield Special Cylinders Limited, said in a trading update that, as a consequence, the results for the full year ending 27 September 2008 were anticipated to be ahead of market expectations and that market conditions remained favourable across all its markets.
