Business systems developer COA Solutions (formerly Cedar Open Accounts) has acquired HR software firm ASR Computers – its ninth acquisition in the past five years.
Mark Thompson, COA Solutions’ managing director, says that the company, which also purchased HR and payroll specialists OpenPeople, Goldenhill and Strata, is now well positioned to take on the burgeoning UK ‘human capital management’ market.
“This is a very exciting acquisition that demonstrates our determination to sustain the rapid growth of COA Solutions in the UK HCM market, whilst continuing to be a force in the rapidly consolidating UK business software market,” he says. “It also proves our commitment to understanding and responding to our customers’ requirements.”
ASR has 400 HR customers and its solutions cover finance, human resource, payroll, procurement, business intelligence and document management.
ASR will remain at its Harpenden office and will continue to operate as a separate business, supporting existing customers and partners. The terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
