Sage accounts software gets free health and safety advice 04/03/2008

Sage’s new Sage Instant Accounts software for manufacturing SMEs not only includes sales and purchase records, customer and supplier contacts, invoicing and VAT – but one year’s free advice on health and safety.

The company describes the latter as “plain English advice”, and insists that it will enable customers to be “confident that they are compliant in all health and safety matters”.

In the spirit of Sage’s small business systems, the new Instant Accounts has been designed to be as easy as possible to set up, learn and use. As well as online support, which includes articles, Q&A, expert guidance and technical instruction, Instant Accounts users can access an e-learning course, tutorials and an embedded practice mode.

“Customer feedback is really important to us, especially as the market develops and what people need from technology changes,” says Jo Ray, Sage Small Business Division managing director. “Ease of use is paramount in all of our products, and Instant Accounts in particular.

“Whilst entrepreneurs and small business owners are very passionate about their own businesses, they are not all necessarily tech-savvy, financial whiz kids. With Instant Accounts, users don’t need any accounting experience, so they can manage their accounts in a few hours, and then get back to business.”
