Speed control for pushers March 2008

Further to a report on Powerscreen International and Nu-Star in September 2007, Curtis Instruments is highlighting its use for electronic control in materials handling applications such as this.

Power screen – part of the worldwide Terex group – designs and manufactures dry screening, washing and recycling equipment, notably for the quarry, mining, and landfill industries. At its plant in Dungannon in Northern Ireland it added a Nu-Star Super Pusher to its existing Power Pushers. The new Super Pusher incorporates a Curtis speed controller, battery discharge indicator and tiller head.

Matthew Smith, managing director of Nu-Star says: “We are delighted that such a prestigious company as Powerscreen have identified the proven benefits of our zero emission electric tugs and been able to realise such tangible benefits in their lean manufacturing process at Dungannon.”
