The 12th edition of Steel Specifications is the essential reference tool for engineers, architects, designers and material scientists.
Published by UK Steel, the trade association for UK steel production and processing companies, Steel Specifications is the only information source produced in the UK that brings together what you need to know when specifying, procuring and supplying steel.
Steel Specifications defines and summarises British and European steel standards plus most of the popular standards in the US. Its 600-plus pages include 34 new industry standards and 49 updates since the last edition was published in 2004.
The guide is fully cross-referenced by application, standard, properties and supplier. It includes data on some 150 UK proprietary steels giving their chemical elements, mechanical or physical properties and application. Each of these entries also lists the brand name and contact details for the producer.
With British steel standards now part of the Euronorm structure following considerable harmonisation in the past few years, Steel Specifications offers an easy-to-follow format that explains the European Designation System for Steel and lists specifications under recognised headings such as BS Series, BS EN Series and BS EN ISO Series.
Steel Specifications is available for £90 in book form. Alternatively, a searchable online version, SteelSpec, is updated quarterly and is available on subscription for one year at £90 (plus VAT) or for three years at £180 (plus VAT).
