Exhaust filter breakthrough February 2008

Busch (UK) has launched a new range of exhaust filters that it says have ‘raised the bar’ in filter technology.

Technical advances developed by Busch engineers enable the new exhaust filters to reduce total oil emissions by preventing the formation of large oil droplets and associated oil film at the exhaust side of a vacuum pump.

The new exhaust filters have many new advantages and benefits which include the residual oil in exhaust air at less than 3mg/m3, which equates to 3ppm; pump performance is maintained due to improved efficiency of the filters and temperature is now rated to 130°C in continuous operation and up to 150° for short periods.

Busch has also new O2/ATEX certified exhaust filters, suitable for use on vacuum pumps in ATEX environments.
