A new generation of forklifts are claimed to be more productive, with improved driveline, comfort, visibility and minimised cost of operation.
Hyster has announced its new H8.00-16.00XM-6 Series, consisting of 14 models, designed to satisfy the requirements of a wide range of 8-16 tonne applications.
The new driveline is a larger 6.7 litre Cummins QSB6.7 diesel engine with a performance of 155 Hp / 116 kW @ 2300 rpm. The clean running engine conforms to the EC Tier 3 emissions regulations for NRMM (Non-Road Mobile Machinery). An LPG version is also available with the Cummins 6B-LPG-Plus engine, with the same 155 Hp power output.
The truck is suitable for operating in environments from -18ºC up to 50ºC ambient for normal operations, or up to 45ºC for a heavy duty operation, thanks to a new cooling system.
The Hyster “Vista” cab offers an outstanding range of standard ergonomic features, designed to achieve maximum productivity from the operator in every shift.
The focus is on driver comfort, ergonomics and excellent all round visibility with the operator compartment ideally positioned in a ‘mid-high’ and forward position for optimal visibility on the forks.
The range offers a number of standard features to help the customer to effectively manage truck operating costs.
The models benefit from oil-immersed ‘wet discs’ brakes and an exceptionally durable driveline, with a robust drive axle and advanced auto-shift transmission system with engine and transmission protection systems as standard. An engine shutdown function is also included and to minimise service time and cost, the cab features a powered tilt facility so the clean running engine has excellent service access at all times.
