Syspro furnishes Stuart Jones with sales configurator software 18/12/2007

West Sussex bedroom furniture specialist Stuart Jones says it expects to improve customer service and perfectly match all orders when it goes live before Christmas with sales order processing and product configurator software.

The company is replacing DOS-based software, and has selected Syspro ERP from K3 Business Technology Group (K3) which, it believes, will also help sales to maximise opportunities through accurate inventory information.

Managing director Stuart Jones explains that Syspro will enable the firm to turn around orders more quickly and allow sales staff to give customers up-to-the-minute information about stock levels, prices and alternative products.

“We supply stockists all over the UK. The range they carry varies from one to the next, but if a particular item is not stocked it can usually be ordered as a special. With Syspro, we will be able to optimise our sales order processing. That will enable us to be much more responsive to customers needs,” he says.

In particular, he expects the configurator to improve the management and fulfilment of bespoke orders around, for example, particular finishes and upholstery colours.

“Syspro will allow us to easily manage such bespoke orders and provide our sales force with information on top sellers at each outlet. The product configurator module will help us to meet customer requests for specific items as well as improve our overall service to customers,” comments Jones.
