Warehouse management system helps students January 2008

Chesterfield College, as lead partner in the CoVE (Centre of Vocational Excellence) in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, has introduced ATMS’ StockTrackPLUS (STP) warehouse management system into the curriculum for their Foundation Degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management.

STP will include the core suite of applications essential in a modern day operation and will enable the students to have hands-on access to a fully functional system and the latest hardware technology.

Lectures at the college will involve the use of electronic white boards, and further study will be carried out with remote access and submission of coursework via email and the internet. The intention is to further expand the system to provide access to other sites belonging to the partners within the CoVE.

ATMS’ MD Stephen Cross says: “We are delighted to be working with the CoVE at Chesterfield College and to be involved in projects that give logistics students a practical opportunity to gain hands-on experience at an early stage in their career.”
