To celebrate a centenary of manufacturing in this country is a notable achievement in itself, and as is the case with Railex Systems a key feature of this success has been to be continually updating with the latest equipment and offer truly flexible support as regards sub-contracting factory services to industry at large.
The Railex facility is located in Witham, near Colchester, and operates a complete turnkey process that can include the complete project through bespoke design, tooling, powder coating and ongoing production – or simply one off assistance to help with an overload situation.
The company’s niche is with light gauge sheet steel fabrication in mild steel, aluminium or stainless steel, and embracing shearing, punching, folding and welding/rivetting processes. The in-house machinery includes the likes of the latest Amada, Gema and Salvagnini technology in tandem with a focused and highly experienced workforce.
Trevor Johnson, business development manager of Railex says: “Very few companies can offer our nationwide and seamless service across virtually any type or shape of component.
“By way of illustrating our flexibility, recent products have included, fibre optic solutions, food analysis equipment, and global educational training products. It really is a case of every process from goods inward to outward, and we take particular pride in fast changes and being able to deal with anything from short, manual jobs to high volume automatic runs in any colour or texture you choose.
“The service is also, importantly, very discreet – especially important of course with sub contracting, and our only contact and exchange of information is between our designated project manager directly to our client. It is very much a case of taking the stress and strain off your shoulders and making it all happen on time and within budget.”
