PZ Cussons cleans data with OrgPlus Enterprise

Soaps and detergents giant PZ Cussons is reporting that HumanConcepts' charting tool has helped it improve data quality and the visibility of personnel across the organisation.

Sally Knill, global reward director at PZ Cussons, says that HumanConcepts' OrgPlus Enterprise is now providing up to date workforce data for more than 4,000 employees worldwide via desktopl PCs and specially installed kiosks.

"We wanted to be able to display our organisation in visual charts, not just for the managers and the HR team, but also to provide an overview for employees across the organisation," explains Knill. "We selected OrgPlus Enterprise following recommendation from Oracle," she adds.

Knill's team has also used the system to model skills and succession planning. "It gives us the flexibility to change things easily and offers excellent value for money. The transparency and visibility of the organisation that it gives us is fantastic," she says.

And she explains that PZ Cussons HR team is using the suite to audit HR data populated by its Oracle On Demand HR system.

Interestingly, the new charts have also helped the HR team to identify 'orphans', where the data shows that individuals are not recorded as reporting to anyone. Since using OrgPlus Enterprise, the number of orphans has reduced from 20% to just 2%.
