Free employment law advice online

Businesses can now access free online legal advice, including tips on complying with latest legislation and attending tribunals.

Bibby Consulting & Support – one of WM's regular employment law contributors – has produced a selection of videos which are available on the firm's YouTube channel (see link below).

The guides cover a variety of complex subject areas where employers have indicated that legislation or case law are not easy to understand.

On the employment law, videos cover vicarious liability, how to sack staff safely and how to avoid employment tribunals. On health and safety, videos cover subjects such as legionella, asbestos and fire safety.

Bibby's MD Michael Slade says: "We are justifiably proud of this free resource for directors.

"Things are still tough for many companies, but that doesn't mean employers don't need a specialist's view from time to time – in fact, often the opposite is true, it's at times like this with people and resources stretched that staffing or safety issues raise their head."
