Hitachi Automotive strengthens financial reporting with Infor

Hitachi Automotive Systems Americas has built on its existing Infor enterprise management system by implementing Infor10 Corporate Performance Management.

Dianna Thompson, Hitachi Automotive business systems consultant, says that it's all about consolidating budget processes and facilitating more efficient but also more detailed financial reporting.

"Prior to our implementation of Infor CPM, we were only able to generate financial statements for large product families as a whole," says Thompson.

"Now we can capture and report financial data at a much more granular, product specific level that permits management to drill down into the details of manufacturing costs," she explains.

Thompson says that Hitachi Automotive employees now have access to full budget information approved by each of Hitachi's five locations in the US operating Infor CPM, enabling both faster financial approvals and simplified data retrieval.

Additionally, the scalability and multi-currency functionality of Infor CPM will play a key part, she says, in Hitachi's global growth initiatives – including plans for a new facility outside the United States.

Infor Consulting Services (ICS) worked with Hitachi Automotive to complete the implementation on-time and on-budget at each location.
